A lot of people ask me about converting rifles from Straight stock to Pistol grip stocks.
The good news is that marlin centre fire rifles all have the same stock fittings, so this is possible.
It’s possible to fit a pistol grip stock on a straight stock rifle yes, but with caveats… a pistol grip stock will fit on the rifle, and work perfectly, provided you also buy a Pistol grip lever. (The straight lever won’t close)
However on the pistol grip guns the bottom plate is different – it’s thicker and profiled at the back to fit the stock cut out.
The pistol grip bottom plates aren’t available as spares, so it would mean there’s a gap under the lever – something like the picture attached.
If you don’t mind this gap, then yes, can be converted.
